Uros Islands Kayak Birding is one of our Unique and Authentic Lake Titicaca Kayak Tours.
Lake Titicaca kayak birding trip takes place in the Southern section of Uros people’s reed floating Islands. It was specifically designed to see Lake Titicaca endemic bird.
Your Titicaca grebe birding tour begins early in the morning with the pick-up from your hotel and drive to kayak launching dock, then paddle your double tandem kayak to South Uros (available singles as well) throughout the way you’ll be observing the birds.
Later, we’re heading to explore Uros islands and we’ll have breakfast on of these floating islands before paddling back to Puno.

Uros Titicaca Grebe Birding Tour Itinerary
6:00 am pick-up from your hotel and drive to Chimu community on the Puno-Desaguadero highway.
6:15 am arrival to the shore of the Lake and get in the kayak, enjoy watching the first birds in the water near the carpeted reeds.
Spend the time observing the local and endemic Titicaca grebe. Your guide provides some clue information about the local life style and history.

7:15 am after this incredible morning we’re heading to Northern Uros by kayak for breakfast and chill out on one of the reed floating islands of the Uros people.
8:00 am arrival and disembark on the floating island.
9:30 am uponarrival to Kalapajra pier or Isla Esteves shore, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Puno city.
