8:30 am Pablo and the driver will meet you up at your hotel in Copacabana and drive for about 30 minutes.
Copacabana and Yampupata peninsulas are the largest ones in Lake Titicaca. When driving along the way you’ll gain unique landscape views and see locals in their daily basis.
On your left hand you will be able to appreciate the Lake.
9:00 am upon arrival to Sicuani pier, a motorized boat will pick you up and then head to the Southern side of the Isla del Sol, along the way you’ll see and enjoy beautiful Lake Views while your guide takes his time to explain you about the great pre-Incan civilizations that ruled the Lake basin.
You’ll traverse the blue horizon for about 30 minutes and disembark at Pilcocaina temple.
9:30 am upon arrival to Southern tip of Isla del Sol, you’ll start with the hike. Sun Island is the first largest Island on Lake Titicaca. It’s a great way to explore on foot its outstanding landscape and local traditions.
After a short time walking through a dusty trail, you’ll reach the old remains of the first Inca rulers. According to legend, in the old times the Island was known as Titicaca and was the birthplace of Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo, children of the Sun God or Wiracocha.
You’ll visit ancient vestige along the way to Yumani community.
11:00 am you’ll get to Yumani community where the Inca water spring, stone stairs and the Inca garden are located.
11:30 am following that you’ll walk down to the local port and embark on your private boat and head back to Copacabana through the same short way.

This Lake Titicaca Half Day Tour from Copacabana town is ideal if you are arriving by bus from La Paz.
1:30 am you’ll be picked up by our team mates (Pablo and Denis), then after head to Sicuani pier, which is the closest way to Sun Island.
When driving through the peninsula of Copacabana you’ll see local population in their daily afternoon activities.
2:00 pm at Sicuani pier you’ll find our boatman team mate (Amadeo, Boris or Jose) who is going to take you to the birthplace of Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo, the children of the Sun God or Inti Wiracocha, the founders of the Inca Empire.
